Day 212: Ironlunge

Ironlunge is the seventh of the Micron Boosters available in Japan in 2007, sold in blind-box packaging. If his name is a play on "Iron Lung," then bravo. A Predacon, he turns into a mechanical triceratops. He is a redeco of  Classics  Mini-Con Knockdown.

His coloring appears to be an homage to the original T Rex Megatron from the inaugural Beast Wars line. He is a redeco of Classics Mini-Con, Terrorsaur.

Day 209: Windrazor (Micron Booster)

Windrazor is the fourth of the 2007 Micron Boosters, sold exclusively in Japan in blind-box packaging. She turns into a pink sports motorcycle. An Autobot, she is a redeco of Classics Dirt Rocket.

Apexus is the third of the 2007 Micron Boosters released via blind-box packaging in Japan. A Maximal, he turns into a mechanical tiger. He is a redeco of the Classics Mini-Con, Snarl.

Day 207: Gredator

Although branded as a G1 line with the use of the classic logo on its blind-box packaging, this 2007 series of Micron Boosters also included Predacons and Maximals. Gredator turns into a mechanical wolf and is a Predacon.

Day 206: Radrogue

Moving onto the last assortment of Micron Boosters, which takes us to 2007 in Japan. These were the Japanese import of the Classics line of Mini-Cons, which were not otherwise released. The blind-box packaging is the old original logo, suggesting these toys are from the Generation 1 series. First up is Radrogue, who is a redeco of Classics Strongarm. He is definitely an Autobot, and turns into a police car.

Day 205: Plug

The last of the 2005 Micron Boosters in Japan is Plug. Plug is a redeco of Oval, a member of the  Street Speed Mini-Con Team  from  Cybertron.  Plug turns into a Saleen S7 luxury car.

Day 204: Jack

Another redeco from Cybertron' s  Street Speed Mini-Con Team  is Jack .  A redeco of Spiral, Jack turns into a modified Mercedes CLK DTM luxury car. Jack was available in blind-box packaging in Japan in 2005.

Day 203: Dice

Nearing the end of the 2005 Micron Boosters, with the final three being redecoes of the Street Speed Mini-Con Team from Cybertron.  First up is Dice (a redeco of Backtrack) who turns into a purple Cadillac XLR luxury car with a police light bar on the roof (though no other police markings). Dice was available in blind-box packaging in Japan.

Day 202: Bit

Bit turns into a helicopter, and was part of the 2005 blind-boxed Micron Booster assortment available exclusively in Japan. Prior to that release, this design was the basis of Jolt from the Cybertron Mini-Cons,  which was also released in Japan as Hop.

Day 201: Plier

Plier turns into a Dodge Ram pickup truck. He is a reuse of the Cybertron Mini-Con Reverb design, which was also the basis of Galaxy Force Bumper. Plier was available as a blind-box release in Japan in 2005.

Day 200: Socket

Socket is part of the 2005 Micron Booster assortments who turns into Toyota GT-One Le Mans-style race car. This same design was also used to make Six-Speed in Cybertron , and Blit in Galaxy Force.  Socket is the 7th of the 12 Boosters sold in a blind-box style in Japan.

Day 199: Trigger

Part of the 2005 Micron Boosters collection bolstering the Galaxy Force toyline in Japan, Trigger turns into a tank. He is a redeco of Crumplezone , a Mini-Con originally packed with Cyclonus in the Armada line. He was later renamed Heavy Barrel in 2014 in a IDW Comics appearance.

Day 198: Wrench

Another Mini-Con redeco made available in Japan as a blind-box exclusive in 2005, Wrench is the same design as Incinerator , previously available in Armada and Universe .  Wrench turns into a Cybetronic drag racer.

Day 197: Clamp

I've drawn Clamp before, as Refute an Armada Mini-Con who also showed up in the  Universe line . He turns into a pincer-armed heavy vehicle and the toy could articulate the pincers by rolling its gear mechanism. This version of the character was available in 2005 in blind box assortments in Japan. He was renamed Grip-Lock in English-language fiction.

Day 196: Gauge

Gauge is an example of a less than impressive motorcycle-to-robot design, but it's not without its charms. A blind box toy released in Japan in 2005's Micron Boosters assortment, Gauge is a redeco of Armada Nightbeat that also showed up in Universe a few times. Was later renamed Skidmark, which is not an improvement.

Day 195: Bug Drone

The second in this assortment of Galaxy Force Micron Boosters is Bug Drone, a redeco of yesterday's Bug General , done in a flat black plastic with yellow and matte silver highlights. He turns into orb-shaped satellite and was available in blind box packaging in Japan in 2005.

Day 194: Bug General

Kicking off a run of more Micron Boosters, from 2005, this time part of the Galaxy Force line (the Japanese incarnation of Transformers: Cybertron ). Like the earlier lines, these were blind box releases exclusive to Japan. This is Bug General, a redeco of Armada Dead End , who turns into an orb-shaped satellite.

Day 193: Frenzy (Super Link)

If you were fortunate or diligent enough in your blind-box collecting of the 2004 Micron Boosters, you could assemble Frenzy from Filter , Damper and Brake . Frenzy the combiner is a redeco of Energon Perceptor . She was later renamed Heavy Metal by the official collectors' club in 2007.

Day 192: Filter

The last of the Lawson store Micron Boosters available in Japan in 2004 is Filter. Turns into some sort of Cybertronic hovercraft. Was later rechristened as "Kickflip" by the collectors club in 2007, an odd name considering she couldn't deliver much of a kick with those legs. A redeco of Energon Grindor .

Day 191: Damper

I had not appreciated how ape-like Damper's proportions were, so I kinda went full gorilla here. Damper is the 11th in the series of Micron Boosters available exclusively through Lawson stores in Japan in 2004. She is a redeco of Energon Sureshock . Damper turns into a four-wheel ATV. She was later given the name Mudbath by the collectors club.

Day 190: Brake

Motorcycles have always been a tricky mode to render in toy form, and that Brake manages to do it pretty well at such a small scale is impressive. She's the 10th in the 2004 assortment of Micron Booster blind-box releases in the Super Link line available exclusively at Lawson stores in Japan. She is a redeco of High Wire from Energon .  Her name was later changed to Breakage in American publications.

Day 189: Groove (Super Link)

Next in this set of Micron Boosters is Groove, an old Protectobot name repurposed here for this Mini-Con who turns into a Cybertronic police car with "futuristic" translucent plastic parts. Super Link Groove's design also was used for Armada's Prowl and Energon's  Checkpoint . Groove was available in Japan in 2004 exclusively in blind box packaging at Lawson stores.

Day 188: Rotor

Rotor is #8 of the 2004 Micron Booster assortment available exclusively at Lawson stores in Japan. He turns into a twin-rotor helicopter reminiscent of an Osprey (though not exactly that design) as well as into a twin Gatling-type cannon that can be used by larger robots. He is an alternate deco of a design also used for Makeshift and Scythe .

Day 187: Cluster

Cluster has two modes: he turns into a crash-response truck and a missile launcher that can be affixed to a larger robot. He is the 7th of his particular assortment of 2004 Micron Boosters available in blind box packaging exclusively at Lawson stores in Japan.

Day 186: Blitz

Continuing the Micron Boosters from the Super Link line in Japan (the Japanese incarnation of Energon ) is Blitz. Blitz turns into a stealth plane reminiscent of a SR71 Blackbird, and also has a three-clawed weapon mode that can be carried by larger bots. He was available in 2004 exclusive at Lawson stores in Japan.

Day 185: Seeker

Seeker is a redeco of Armada Thunderwing , Cybertron Razorclaw, and Universe Thunderwing . Turns into a stealth bomber (albeit a bright blue and red one). Part of the 2004 assortment of Micron Boosters available exclusively in blind box packaging at Lawson stores in Japan.

Day 184: Effect

The next Micron Booster is a design I've drawn several times before; now he's Effect, and turns into a multi-engine bomber plane and a six-barreled hand cannon that can be used by larger bots. His design was also used by Gunbarrel , Sky Lynx , and another Gunbarrel . This incarnation was available in 2004 in a blind box package available only at Lawson stores in Japan.

Day 183: Triac

The third and final use of this particular design in this assortment of Micron Boosters is Triac. She, like Processor and Saber before her, turns into a Cybertronian gunship. She was packaged in a blind-box and sold exclusively at Lawson stores in Japan in 2004. Her name would later be Americanized to Trickshot.

Day 182: Processor

The next Micron Booster is the same as the last -- that is, the same design in a new deco. This is Processor, who turns into a Cybertronian gunship. His Americanized name is Flashdrive. He was available at Lawson stores in Japan in 2004 in blind box packaging.
