Day 63: Breakdown (Generation 2)

Breakdown is the Stunticon scout, a Decepticon car team originally introduced in 1986 and intended to be recolored and re-released for the Generation Two line. That never came to pass, but in 1994, Breakdown was made available as an exclusive to attendees of the first ever BotCon convention. Produced in very small numbers (300), Breakdown is a prize collectible, and a snapshot of what Generation Two could've been had it proved to be a greater success. He turns into a Lamborghini Countach.

Day 141: Menasor

Here is the combined form of all five Stunticons, available individually or in a giftset in 1986. He is the mighty Menasor, and as a "Scramble City" style combiner, all his limbs are equally interchangeable, and are swappable with the Aerialbots, Protectobots and Combaticons available that year.

Day 140: Motormaster

Rounding out the 1986 Stunticons is the team leader, Motormaster. Like the other "Scramble City" type combiner teams released that year, four of the team-members were smaller vehicles sold individually on card, while the leader is a larger toy sold in a box. Motormaster turns into a Kenworth K100 Aerodyne truck with connected trailer. Not that scale ever made much sense in Transformers toys, but given that the cab of the truck turns into his feet, that means Motormaster would tower over Optimus Prime. That, not surprisingly, isn't how it appears in animated content, though Prime and Motormaster did spar for the king of the road title in truck mode at least once in the series. Motormaster also has a battle station mode that can connect to the larger city playsets released that year.

Day 139: Drag Strip

Back to the Stunticons, the Decepticon car team from 1986: here's Drag Strip, the Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler race car.

Day 138: Wildrider

Next up in the Stunticon line-up is Wildrider. How times have changed - Wildrider's on-package bio lists his function as "TERRORIST," something that likely would not fly today. He turns into a dark gray Ferrari 308 GTB. He was available at retail starting in 1986.

Day 137: Breakdown

Continuing the run of Stunticons from 1986, here is Breakdown. He turns into a Lamborghini Countach. He was the sole Stunticon to have been reissued for Generation Two before that relaunch petered out, and even then it was only as  a convention exclusive produced in limited numbers.

Day 136: Dead End

Starting a run of Stunticons, Dead End is one of a team of Decepticon cars meant to challenge the Autobots as kings of the road. Dead End is the team pessimist and turns into a Porsche 928. He was available starting in 1986.
