The Predacon counterpart to the Maximal Eggleo is Dark Eggleo. He turns from a mechanical orb (and keychain) into a mechanical lion with some very curved, ovoid body parts. Differentiating him from the good guy Eggleo is his dark, smokey green plastic finish. He was available in Japan in 1998. 

Predacon counterpart to Maximal Eggbot is Dark Eggbot. Identical in design but cast in a smoky black plastic rather than blue, Dark Eggbot turns into a mechanical sphere keychain, where he presumably keeps keys used only for evil purposes. Dark Eggbot was available in Japan in 1998.

The trio of " Egg Beasts " released for the Maximals had a Predacon trio of redecos. These were mechanically-detailed orb-shaped keychains that turn into robots. The Predacon ones were unimaginatively named "Dark" versions of the Maximal ones. So, Dark Eggbird here is the same design as Eggbird , but cast in a darker translucent plastic. 

The last of the Maximal Egg Beasts is Eggleo, who turns from a translucent yellow mechanical lion into an orb/keychain. He was available in 1998 in Japan.

Continuing a run of Egg Beasts from Japan comes the Maximal Eggbird, who turns into a mechanical orb that serves a keychain. Eggbird was available in Japan in 1998.

An odd addition to the Japanese Beast Wars line were a subset of transforming spheroid keychains cast in translucent plastic, that were dubbed the "Egg Beasts," though they weren't all that egg-shaped and not all of them were beasts. Eggbot turns into a translucent blue humanoid Maximal. The design dates back to pre-Transformers Takara Micro Change toys, where the sphere was meant to be a meteor mode. Eggbot was available in Japan in 1998.
