The next Decepticon Go-Bot is Soundwave, communications specialist. This is the first incarnation of the classic character that is not meant to turn into or represent a tape deck. By the mid-90s, tape cassette players had run their course. Now, he's a Ford Thunderbird stock car, of the same design used by Gearhead (seen here). This version of Soundwave was released in 1995.
The combined form of the Universe Micromaster Aerialbots is Superion, an amalgamation of six robots plus their pack-in accessories that serve as connectors, head, and extremities of the gestalt warrior. While in Japan, the original source of the design ( Sixwing , 1992) was available in a collected set, this combiner needed to be purchased one bot at a time in the 2007 Universe release.
