The next Decepticon Powermaster is Dreadwind, partner to yesterday's Darkwing. The sullen Decepticon air defense specialist turns into a F-16 Falcon jet fighter, with a Powermaster component (Hi-Test, inset) that unlocks the transformation back to robot. Darkwing and Dreadwind have the ability to combine their jet modes into a super-jet named Dreadwing. Both were available in 1988. In Japan, this character was realized as Buster.
The combined form of the Universe Micromaster Aerialbots is Superion, an amalgamation of six robots plus their pack-in accessories that serve as connectors, head, and extremities of the gestalt warrior. While in Japan, the original source of the design ( Sixwing , 1992) was available in a collected set, this combiner needed to be purchased one bot at a time in the 2007 Universe release.
